My name is Sadie Kondel. I started golfing at age 5 and started playing tournaments in 7th grade. Since the age of 5, I’m the 1,3,5,9, & 18 hole Junior Club Champion at Warwick Hills Country Club in Grand Blanc, Michigan. I’ve made it through Drive, Chip, & Putt to the Sub Regional every year since I was 8 years old. In 2021 my final year, I made it to Regionals with a chance to go to Augusta. Unfortunately the date of the regional was the same day as the Michigan Girls High School Golf State Championship. It was a very hard choice because I worked so hard to get there, but I didn’t want to let my high school teammates and my older sister down. My sister had played in three previous State Championships and this was her last chance to win a state title. I was a three sport athlete, and this year decided to just focus on golf. I played varsity golf the last two seasons and I will be the team captain for the 2023/2024 seasons. My goal is to play competitive college golf for a strong athletic and academic team. I think I’m a great fit for any program because of my work ethic and desire to always put my team first.
