I have been playing golf since 2018, but over the past year I have worked hard to build my golf resume and gain valuable tournament experience. Throughout this past summer I played in seven Kids Golf 18 hole stroke play tournaments. I was also a member of the 2023 Philadelphia Junior tour and competed in four Junior Tour 18 hole stroke play tournaments. I recorded my career best score of 99 on July 7th at Northampton Valley CC in Northampton, PA. My overall 18 hole scoring average for the 11 tournaments was 113.8 and am continuously working to get a better score each time I play.
In the fall of this school year, I played on Pennsbury High Schools first ever girls’ golf team, where I averaged a score of 52 for 9 hole stroke play matches as a sophomore.
My goals for the 2024 season are to improve my game and my average score. I strive to break 90 for 18 holes, and I am currently working with a PGA swing instructor (on a weekly basis) at our local Trackman indoor golf simulator practice facility to improve my skills. I have joined the Philadelphia Junior Tour again for the 2024 season and will be playing in several tournaments (including some JGS events) to gain more experience playing tournament golf and to prepare me for playing golf in college.
I am a good candidate for college golf even if my scores are not yet perfect because I am always working towards a better game and I see every match, lesson, and practice as an opportunity to figure out what might be wrong with my swing and fix it, so I do better in the next round. I am currently doing particularly good academically and do not see that changing in the future.
I have learned almost everything I know from my dad, and I look up to him as a role model in golf. He is supportive of my passion for golf. I enjoy practicing my short game with him on the synthetic putting green we built in our backyard.
