Personal Statement

9/21

Hannah has advanced to Tennessee Region 1 Regionals for the second year in a row.  This round is the sole determinant for The Tennessee State Championship Tournament.

8/16

Overall ladies low score at The Johnson City Country Club of 44 in a monsoon.  What is incredible is that, Hannah done this in less than a week after coming down with Covid.  She was exhausted and weak, yet she won by a considerable margin over number 2.  She could barely push the cart up the hill yet she dug deep and persevered!  It took a lot of courage and would not have been thought of any less if she had of stopped playing considering the downpour, but that just wouldn’t be her.

7/13

Just  a little update on Hannah.  With Mono finally fading, today she  played her first nine holes since last fall.  She was not very pleased yet shot the same as 42  this at her home par 72, 6470 yd layoutshe did to earn her entire team a first ever team appearance in Regionals (one step from State Championships).  Her short game, which has cost her in the past IS ON! Something to know about Hannah, she has never been fitted for clubs, she doesn’t play high end forged clubs, matter of fact they are a couple generations old, but has never asked for newer.  This is who she is and obviously has a ton of room for growth once she has better equipment, and she is just completing her 3rd year of playing golf, well this begins her 4th season and she is medaled and MVPd and been overall course low. She has a lot of room to grow. And out of the gate this year being rusty she goes 42 on front nine after  not playing a full 9 or 18 since October last year.  She has a full round next Wednesday will know more about a full recovery and where she is at after that.

Thank You Dave McDonnell

Update, please see her latest video with her dog and this is 100% factual and happens no matter the season!

Update:

Early this Spring, Hannah contracted mono.  This has eliminated her from Spring competition as she has not physically been able to compete.  She has however been practicing working short game and putting.  She should be ready to begin in the next 3 weeks or so.  Her energy and endurance have returned and she is doing quite well with her short game.  She fell victim of loosing 10-12 strokes in a match from 50 yards in, and I believe that will be eliminated this year.  I expect she is now shooting between 74-77,78 this year.  I have been with her in practice at times and excited to see her gains from off season.

TY,

David McDonnell

Hello,

I have been playing for 3 years starting in 2018 , I have so much improvement left in my game and l am excited to see where it takes me! I am now a junior in high school.  I have played #1 since sophomore year.  Was 2 my first Year.  Overall low at Johnson City CC as a freshman.  Have earned team MVP and placed each year in conference, and division.  This season my team at Elizabethton HS was the first Elizabethton Girls Team to go to regionals as a girls team.  I also individually medaled in that district.  Played this summer in SNEDS tour and participated in 5 tournaments and medaled in all 5 (2 wins, 2 silvers and 1 bronze). Playing courses like The Virginian and others of that level during SNEDS Opens.  I am rarely out of fairway, I am not the longest off the tee but I am rarely in trouble.  I just need to continue gaining strength and experience and am willing and working toward both.
Academically, I carry max GPA in Honors Curriculum.  I am in excess of 4.0 and Top 10 member.  Participation in extra curricular clubs and desire to continue in pursuit Medical degree in college.
My desire is to be a great team member and to achieve “better” every single day.
Thank you very much for taking the time  to  review my profile, it is appreciated.  Have a wonderful day.
