Allie Korfe
I am a well rounded student athlete with a drive to be the best golfer possible. My extracurricular accomplishments include a black belt with the nation's largest martial arts organization, ATA. I also played basketball as a point guard in middle school and was voted MVP for 2 years. I was a "first chair" saxophone player in school band from 6-8th grades. I started playing golf in the spring of 2018 when basketball season was over and dedicated my athletic career towards the game. Golf has taught me to be patient and appreciate the challenges of each shot. I have steadily improved my scores each year getting into the low 70's regularly. My most defining golf quality is my driving distance. My average measured distance is 260 yards, but I routinely hit it much further. I work out at least 3 times a week to improve my strength and overall mobility for golf. For personal instruction, I am currently working with Justin Poynter at "Crown Golf" to harness ball speed into skill and improve in short aspects of the game. My personal trainer, Rodney Caffey, works one-on-one with me on a regular basis for golf strength and conditioning. Golf is something that means a lot to me and I will work hard to be great.
I started school early and am a young senior at the age of 16 years old (DOB 3/3/2006). I am an A student with a GPA of 3.98 and currently ranked in the top 4% (26 out of 608) in my class. Academics are an important part of school life and I hope college will bring me new opportunities in the course as well as further education. I dedicate my spare time to work on my game as well as doing charity work around the community through NHS, Key Club, church, family business in real estate acquisitions, and the golf team. Mentally, I am strong and confident about myself and my ability. I am confident my game will improve with more practice time on the course, instructions, and maturity. I would most definitely love to play college golf and I look forward to any opportunity. You will get a coachable, highly committed to a team, hard working, and competitive player with a desire to be a great professional golfer (after getting my Engineering degree like my dad, sister, brother-in-laws).
