Personal Statement

When I was younger my dream and goal was to be able to play hockey when I was older. I loved going to my cousins hockey games and watching them play. All I ever wanted to do was play hockey, watch my family play, and watch professional hockey. After years of watching their hockey career my parents finally gave in to me begging them to let me play and they put me in a learn to skate program. Within 3 months I started my hockey career just as I always dreamed of. Till this day playing hockey is my favorite thing to do and I always want to play and never stop. I started out playing for the girls team in my town for 2 years then I switched over to the club team called the Massachusetts Spitfires, who I play for today. I have been playing for the Spitfires for about 6 years now and I'm currently on the U16 Major 1 team. Hockey is my favorite sport and I wish I could play it everyday. Throughout my hockey career on the Spitfires I have achieved many goals and accomplishments. A few of my accomplishments were winning and making it in to many championship games in tournaments, placing second in States after a 2-1 overtime loss and placing 3rd at Nationals in Anaheim, California. I was also made the Varsity girls hockey team as a freshman and was a starter on the first line which was a huge accomplishment. Other goals that I made on my high school team was finishing the year with 15 goals, 17 assists, for a total of 32 points which was the most on my team. I was ranked number 8 in the Bay State League. My team won the Herget division, 4th in the Bay State, and lost in a shootout in the quarter finals against Falmouth who ended up losing in the Championship game. Future goals I have are being Captain of my high school team, playing college hockey, and one day playing on the USA Olympic team.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
