Kathryn Bailey '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kathryn Bailey, but I prefer to go by Katie or KB.  New kids at school always say “Hey, you’re that hockey girl, right?” Hockey has always been my passion, and forever will be. Skating is what makes me happiest in life. I believe I am different from other players because of my commitment and dedication to the sport. I have played all my life, and I have never missed a game or practice. I began playing with the boys, which helped me learn the technical aspects, but it was not until high school, where I played on an all girls team, that I fully understood the mental side of the game. I have done all higher level classes through out high school, and even challenged myself with a few college classes. I would not say learning is necessarily boring for me, while I’d rather be on ice, if a topic interests me, I would love to dig deeper into the subject.
