Maeve Harney '25 Recruiting Profile

Hockey wasn’t always something I wanted to pursue in college, but I’ve been skating for 10 years, and playing hockey 9 of them, and not only consider it a huge part of my life, but a part of my identity too. I’ve played for various teams in lots of different places including Alaska, Virginia, and here, New Hampshire. 

Playing sports with / against boys all of my life (specifically / mostly hockey) has led me to be an avid skater and a force on the ice. I'm serious about this sport and have a confident attitude towards the game, but can still ask what I can do to improve. I use this to be a coachable center / wing with a strong hockey IQ. I’m also able to build team chemistry and get along with teammates while pushing them as well.

Air Force or Army ROTC also interests me in college, and when it comes to academics vs. athletics, I tend to lean towards the sports, but work equally as hard in both and can commit to something in order to achieve it.
