Personal Statement
I want to play Division I or very competitive Division III ice hockey at an excellent academic college. I started playing boys hockey when I was 9 years old. I have played in the Toronto Marlies Christmas Tournament and the Nike Bauer Invitational Tournament in Chicago. I have attended the National Development Camp in 2011, 2012, and 2013. This past year I attended NAHA and played on the U19 White team. The highlights of the season were winning the JWHL Challenge Cup Tournament in Washington D.C. and the JWHL playoffs in Vancouver. At the Challenge Cup Tournament, I went 6 and 0 with a goals against average of 1.17 and save percentage of 0.95. Additionally I made every shootout save in the Championship game. At the JWHL playoffs, I went 4 and 0 with a shutout in the championship game. During the playoffs, I had a 1.00 goals against average and a 0.951 save percentage. I believe as the year progressed I got much better and more comfortable playing girls hockey.
