I would like to attend a school that helps me to be the best I can be, where I can and will maintain my grades at a high level, where I can play at the highest level of lacrosse available to me, and to eventually get into Medical school to become a surgeon. Due to my father serving in the Air Force, he taught me dedication, discipline, and responsibility in everything I do; which has transitioned over to lacrosse. My mother survived breast cancer, and from a young age I had to learn how to be independent and strong. I originally got into the sport at age 7 when my father, who played in high school, put a stick in my hand and said "give it a try," I've been hooked ever since. I've always been slightly undersized, but this has taught me to play smarter, harder, and quicker. I have worked very hard to develop my speed, agility, and stickwork skills, and this focus and dedication has lead me to becoming the captain of my High School team.
In addition to playing Lacrosse year round , I swim to stay in shape, and have been swimming since I was 18 months old, I also run a few times a week to stay in condition. I have also played the flute for 3 years, completed about 30-40 service hours each school year. I do volunteer work at our church, and I help host and coach lacrosse clinics for elementary and middle schoolers. Throughout my time playing lacrosse, I've been taught to be tough, to push through adversity, and I have developed the leadership skills needed to succeed at whatever I do and how to listen, take direction, and to be coachable.
