Personal Statement
I, Brittany Hundley (your next goalkeeper), have the desire, passion, and love of the game to play soccer at the collegiate level. I'm a standup citizen, leader, and dedicated student-athlete that is looking forward to the opportunity to represent my school on and off the field. I am an active volunteer in my community and enjoy helping others. I also want to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Business. Although I'm not exactly sure which program I'd like to major in, I find myself leaning towards Event Management or Business Management. It makes sense because these career paths relate to being a goalkeeper since they both require strong leadership and organization skills.
My ability to organize the defense makes me a great candidate for your team. College teams don't need just a shot stopper, they require a goalkeeper; someone who is able to keep the back under control and organized when times get tough. I am immensely disciplined, dedicated, and decisive. I attribute many of my character traits to my upbringing. I'm respectful, confident, and because I have grown up in a military family, I'm also very adaptable. I've had the opportunity to play soccer all over the East Coast, Okinawa, Japan, and now in California. I have adapted and excelled while playing for several teams, coaches, and styles of play, so moving to college and learning a new system will be no problem.
I consider myself a natural athlete. I've competed in other organized sports, such as football, basketball, swim, softball, cross-country, track & field, and believe it or not, even dance and cheer... don't judge :) My work ethic also sets me apart from other recruits. I have a tendency to find myself in the gym most nights after I get off of work, sometimes even till midnight. I am ALWAYS looking to improve and I want to be the best that I can be.
