Emery Casucci '24 Recruiting Profile

  I am a 5’3, 110 lb outside back from Los Angeles, CA.  My love of  soccer started when I was about four years old and it has formed me into the person I am today; persistent, driven and collaborative on and off the field.  I believe that daily habits can make big changes and I am an intense competitor.  I have been playing club for the past 7 years, I have now been playing for an '06 LA Surf DPL team for the past three years.  My GPA is a 4.12, I go to Eagle Rock High School, which is an International Baccalaureate Programme, and I am in the Gifted Magnet.   I love being a leader: I have been in my school's ASB class for 5 years and I have been the Commissioner of the Communications Committee,  in addition to  the Commissioner of the Spirit Committee in SOCO (Sophomore Class Officers).  Currently, in my junior year, I am "President of Special Ops" in ASB  and I love being involved in my school’s community and being able to effect change in my environment.  I joined Key Club  this year in order to further my commitment to my community and I am now the Secretary.  In early 2023, I became a Campus Captain for The Hidden Opponent, a non- profit that advocates for student athlete mental health and educates student athletes on the importance of their mental game.

 My dream has always been to play soccer in college and professionally.  I am looking for an academically rigorous school with a liberal arts emphasis; one that will give me the right balance between a thorough college experience and a competitive and committed college soccer life.  I would love to be able to travel with my teammates, evolve as players and grow our passion for the game.   My interests are sports psychology, history, and social sciences.  I am open to all Divisions (as long as I can play my Freshman year ) and I am at a school that is a good academic fit for me.
