My name is Olivia Fitzpatrick; I'm 16 years old and from Placentia, California. I've been playing soccer since I was four years old. I have loved the beautiful game of soccer ever since stepping out onto the pitch. Soccer has become such a very important aspect of my life. Seeing myself each practice and every game improving makes me feel better about all the countless hours being put in. Through this process, many coaches have told me I have excellent ball control and developed a high soccer IQ, which I continue to improve upon. From my center-back position, seeing the field comes easy for me. I am a team leader and do so by example for my teammates. Being the team captain of my last team, Strikers FC North 2007, we made it to the quarter-finals of State Cup with multiple shutout wins.
I am dedicated to soccer and everything it entails and committed to working on becoming the most impactful player on and off the field. I have had two years of high school soccer experience at El Dorado High School. During my freshman year, the Frosh team was starting center back, and we were Crest View League Champions. In my sophomore year, I started playing lacrosse. It opened my eyes to a whole new side of other sports. I was playing in the midfield position. My JV team of 2023 was the Crestview League Champions. Going undefeated against all teams, including Foothill High School. Which non of our lacrosse levels have beaten in over 15 years. So I was proud of my teammates and my hard work.
Looking into the future, playing soccer in college has been something I’ve wanted to accomplish for a long time. Thinking that I only have two years of competitive soccer kills me. Playing in college will give me a whole new world of soccer, never seen before. It would be a pleasure to play for my school. I want to attend college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the field. I hope to become a great role model for my three younger sisters and make my parents proud.
