Carmen Williams '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi!  My name is Carmen Williams and I have played club soccer for Colorado Edge Soccer, starting in their Academy Select 9U-10U program.  Soccer is my passion, but you can also find me on the basketball court and in the weight room.  I am an outside defender (2/3) and my strengths are definitely my speed and technical skills.  I can run opponents down, and use my skills to build the play from the back.  I will also make an offensive run if and when I get the opportunity, and am able to get back on defense quickly.  I have spent many summers and winters attending Coerver Colorado technical training camps, sharpening my ball mastery skills, therefore I have many tools in my toolbox.  While I am soft-spoken, I am competitive and vocal on the field.  I am supportive of my teammates and have been a leader and Captain on my team. 

Life is busy, certainly for me as well.  I carry a full course load of classes and balance homework, soccer practices, high school basketball, weight training and volunteer with our club’s TOPSoccer program, in which we work with special needs players and do what we all love…play soccer and have fun! 

Overall, my goal is to continue my soccer career in college while earing my degree in business.  I am leaning towards Business Administration and Management or Marketing, where I could apply my creativity and artistic skills in advertising or graphic design.  I’m so excited for my future and am determined and motivated to accomplish my goals.  I don’t want to limit myself, therefore I know I can take my soccer abilities to the college level, while also accomplishing my academic ambitions.
