Personal Statement
My name is Cate Williams and I am a 16 year old junior at Bulloch Academy in Statesboro, GA. I've been on the BA Varsity soccer team since my 8th grade year, where I am a starting forward. My sophomore year I received GISA 4-AAAA All Region along with the Golden Boot award for the most goals (15) and being selected as the Subway Athlete of the Week for Bulloch County. In my Freshman and 8th grade years, I received the Best Offensive Player Awards along with being named Top 25 scorers in 4AAA (15 goals and 6 assists – I was number 6 on list) in 2012. I've also been playing Club soccer for 4 years with Augusta Arsenal in Augusta, GA. I traditionally play both Forward and Mid-Field for my Club team and have a scoring record. In addition to my playing and practice time with my teams, I have attended numerous soccer camps, ID clinics and combines and have an extensive training regimen.
I am a scholar athlete with a 3.8 grade point average. I am active in Student Council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Young Life. I am a member of the National Honor Society and take Honors Math. I volunteer as an Assistant to the Bulloch Academy Athletic Trainer, which helped me decide my area of interest for college. I also volunteer as an elementary school soccer coach and most recently worked as Camp Counselor for a month, where my responsibility was to teach soccer. My future goals include attending a college or University (Fall 2015) where I can be successful in the classroom, on the soccer field, contribute to the community where I will be living and ultimately obtain the degree of my choice.
