I have loved the game of soccer from my earliest memories. I love being part of a team and working together to accomplish our team goals. I have a will to win that helps drive my teammates, and my coaches will tell you that competitive spirit shows up in my work ethic and attention to detail every day in practice. I struggle with players who do not give it their all or try to reach their fullest potential, both on and off the field. My family has taught me to never quit and give every effort my best shot with no regrets, whether this is soccer, school or anything else in life that is important to me.
I believe this approach makes me a great teammate and role model for younger players, and I believe my coaches will validate this. I am not always the most vocal person (and this is something I am working on), but I lead with my actions and effort every day in practice and during games. I have had some adversity in my career, and when things don't necessarily go my way, it just makes me work harder.
I do not want everything I have been building to end in high school and view an opportunity in college as a way to extend many of the things I care about including competition, love of teammates and a way to continue to challenge myself mentally and physically. I am confident I will be a great contributor at any university both on and off the field and the rest of my career.
