I am excited to be pursuing my goal of playing collegiate soccer where I hope to pursue a degree in Sports Medicine, specifically Physical Therapy. As a goalkeeper, I have come to love the unique challenges and responsibilities that come with the position. Being the last line of defense for my team has taught me the value of composure under pressure and quick decision-making. It has also instilled in me a strong sense of accountability, as a single mistake can have a profound impact on the game's outcome. I look forward to continuing to grow and develop through the same challenges and responsibilities at the collegiate level.
I have grown up as a military child, which has provided me with unique experiences that have shaped my character and soccer journey. Growing up in a military family meant that I had the privilege of living in different parts of the world. I spent a significant part of my childhood in Guam and Germany, where my passion for soccer was ignited and nurtured. These diverse environments exposed me to rich cultures and soccer traditions, allowing me to develop a deep appreciation for the global nature of the sport.
Growing up as a military child has not been without its challenges. I have had to adapt to new environments, make new friends, and face the uncertainty of deployments. These experiences have taught me resilience and the importance of overcoming adversity. Soccer has been my anchor during these times, providing me with a sense of continuity and stability.
Setting and achieving goals is a fundamental part of my soccer journey. Whether it's improving my reflexes, mastering a new technique, or contributing more to my team's success, I constantly set high standards for myself. Soccer has taught me the value of discipline, hard work, and perseverance in achieving these goals.
Ultimately, my soccer journey has not only made me a better athlete but a stronger, more resilient individual. I am excited about the prospect of continuing my academic and athletic journey in college.
