Hi, my name is Emily Adams (AKA MeMe) and ever since I was young, I have always loved the game of soccer. I started playing soccer when I was 7 years old. I have played ever since then and do not plan on stopping anytime soon. Like most soccer players, I started with AYSO and quickly became a key player. I made the U10 All-Star Team when I was 9 years old which launched my career in year-round club soccer. At age 10, I traveled to Florida to play in the AYSO National Games. At age 13, I played in the Dana Cup International Tournament in Denmark where my team took 3rd Place. I have had multiple tournament all across California and Lake Tahoe, NV. I have also helped referee and coach little kids in the past and love creating new female soccer players.
I feel what makes me a great candidate for your team is I have natural born leadership qualities. I love helping and being there for people on and off the field. I earn my respect by giving respect to others and through my actions and behavior. I have an understanding for the game that most players don’t. I am always looking for the best play and taking opportunities to score. I take free kicks with both feet to confuse the defense. I am offensive minded, but I am typically the hub of the wheel that passes 360 degrees. I play for my team, not just myself. I believe that is why I am asked to be captain so often. I love working with others and that is what soccer is all about. I am a team player and a great leader on the pitch. I have written a pray that I share with my teammates before every game because it is important to me and I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. As a caption or just another player, I love encouraging and protecting my teammates.
Even though I’m always on the go, training or playing, I always make time for God, my family, and my friends. I also make sure I have plenty of time for education. I have always loved school and learning new subjects. I catch on quick when learning new things in school, and on the soccer field.
I also play other school sports, so I am always playing something or training in some way. I enjoy basketball and volleyball very much to keep me busy and in shape, but soccer is my main focus. My goal is to play in collage to better my education and to brighten my future. I want to spend my life doing things I love and making the most of life. I believe that college can help better my life and future as a soccer player, and as a person. Thank you for taking the time to read more about me and my dream to play soccer in college.
Sincerely,
Emily Adams
