Family, education and soccer; the three most important things to me right now. All three of these core values overlap each other and are connected in my life.
My family is the forefront in my life and has always been connected to my soccer career. My mom placed me on a team when I was three years old. My dad coached me through middle school when I started playing competitive soccer. There has always been one constant in all of the practices and games I have had over the years, my family is there supporting me and cheering me on. That is who we are.
My education is very important to me. I have attended blue ribbon schools of excellence in both elementary and high school. I have always maintained excellent grades and received behavioral awards throughout. Continuing my education in a competitive, high level, challenging college will allow me to reach any future goals I have for myself.
Soccer is my passion. The technical aspect combined with the physicality in a team atmosphere is what drives me. I played last summer on a professional-amateur team. Practicing with and playing against players (professional and current collegiate athletes) with more experience is valuable to any player wanting to improve. I train everyday and enjoy training with the males and older age groups. I find these practices help to challenge me and improve my speed of play. The team setting is like a second family for me, we work together and support each other. In addition to the physical aspects, intelligence plays a major role in being competitive in soccer. Understanding the game and anticipating your opponents next move helps you to outsmart them and be successful. That is who I am.
