Personal Statement

I want to play soccer at the collegiate level because soccer is what I have loved for as long as I can remember. I love the rush, technicality, and speed of the game. Soccer is where I learned to have confidence and to be strong both physically and emotionally. I met my closest friends playing the beautiful game it is. Soccer is also where I have learned to relieve my stress and play my heart out. Playing at the collegiate level will be the next step for me to keep improving and loving the game. On the pitch is where I feel most at home. Without soccer I do not know where I would be as a person and player.

I would be an asset to a college soccer program because I am a very diligent, determined, and focused player.  I am a strong player that tries to help my teammates as much as myself. My coaches would describe me as a leader.  Both on and off the field I am always trying to give my teammates feedback while being supportive. In fact, I have been honored to be named a Varsity Team Captain in my sophomore season.  I always maintain and improve my skills and fitness throughout the year, not just in season. I use my physical strength to help me in all positions and areas of the field, from chasing the ball down to finishing a corner.  My speed separates me from most players on the field because I am almost always faster than my opponents and teammates.  I would be a great prospect for your college team as I never give up and I always leave my best efforts on and off the field.  My work ethic and talent sets me a part from other players and candidates.

My goals are to find a college in which I can thrive athletically and academically.  I would love to play soccer at the Division One, Division Two, or Division Three level. I believe I can be the best possible player where I am in a competitive environment with support from my coaches and teammates. My preferred location would be south and somewhere along a coast, as close to the beach as possible. I also hope to go into a STEM and science field, either studying Marine Biology or Oceanology.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
