Personal Statement
Since first stepping out on a soccer field, I knew it was the sport for me. There is nothing I enjoy more than playing soccer. On the pitch, working hard with my teammates, that’s where I want to be. I knew as early as grade school that being a student-athlete at the collegiate level was what I wanted to do. Playing at the collegiate level would be like a dream come true.
On the pitch I am a leader by example and word. At training I try to outwork everyone on the team, because I know it makes me a better player and pushes my teammates to be better also. During a game I am not afraid to be vocal as my position allows me a good view of what is going on and to see play develop. I’m quick to the ball and can play right and left footed. My current coach describes me as “Athletic, Competitive and Coachable”.
At Lake Shore High School I am always working hard to keep a high GPA. My grades are extremely important to me. I earned a varsity letter in cross country this past fall as a freshman and again as a sophomore. I also volunteer at my church for Vacation Bible School.
I would like the college I attend to test me both academically and athletically. As a student-athlete I want to be the best in both the classroom and on the pitch and I look forward to the test at the highest level possible.
