Kaitlyn Pomeroy '24 Recruiting Profile

I’ve played this sport since I was 7 years old.  Soccer has taught me as much on the field as it has off the field.  Hard work, determination, accountability, proper mindset, physical ability and teamwork have helped make me the player and person I am today. I always try to improve as a player, student and a better person daily.

As a player, I have always played multiple positions.  Coaches reviews have said my athleticism, good possession skills and strength on the ball have been my most positive attributes.  I've been a varsity starting player since freshman year, I play for a great high school team that plays up a level in order to be as competitive as possible in our area.  In 2022, our team made it to the NYS Sectionals Class A finals game, which was the first time since 2016!  On my travel club team, I’m fortunate to have been coached by the some of the best coaches in New York State, a former All-American and USWNT player, an All-American and current NCAA College coach and multiple other NCAA College coaches. 

As a student, I love science!  I‘m leaning towards a biology/chemistry major with an ultimate goal of becoming a physician.  I’m looking for a school that will challenge me academically and prepare me for medical school acceptance. I’m currently taking honors and AP classes and I’m currently ranked in the top 5% in my high school class.  I take my school work just as serious as soccer.  I know that my love of soccer is my passion but my education is my future.  

As a person, I enjoy spending time with my family, spending time outdoors, working out in the gym and also love spending time with my dog!
