I started playing soccer at the age of 7 and I haven’t turned back since. I’ve been playing for more than 10 years now and I started out playing locally at an intramural level. Through playing soccer, I’ve learned that I’m a natural leader, energetic, and open minded. At the age of 12, I fractured a growth plate in my right ankle and after 5 months of going through surgery and physical therapy, I jumped right back into playing soccer because I just love the sport. Most people called me crazy for doing that but when you’ve been playing a sport for so long, you fall in love with the game and can’t just give it up.
Academically, I graduated High School with an advanced diploma, my seal of biliteracy, and was in the top 20 of my class. In college, I've kept a gpa higher than 3.5 throughout both semesters and made the dean's list in Fall 2021 and Spring 2022. I strongly value consistency, honesty, and transparency. My close friends would describe me as sarcastic, funny, athletic, and passionate. What makes me different from other recruits is that I understand that skill and talent isn’t the only thing I need to be successful. It takes training during the on and off seasons (with and w/o a coach), eating right, confidence, determination, and having the right mentality! I work diligently on and off the field and I’m determined to continue to get 1% better at my sport every day. My goal with soccer is to continue to play after college at the semi-pro and professional level and inspire and connect with others while on my journey!
