Personal Statement
I am in my seventh year of premier soccer, I have started on my Varsity Soccer team since I was a Freshman, and also play AAU and Varsity basketball as well. I am a competitor and a leader, I know that the game may come down to one angle or one step and my team relies on my instincts and what I have gained from training. In soccer I give 110% of what I have, my coach describes me the one who sets the bar for work ethic and practicing like you will play. If you needed to describe me in a a few words I would probably list tenacious, dedicated, and extremely hard working. On my team, I play where they need me be that as an outside mid, forward or defender for my Varsity team or as a outside back, striker or holding mid for my premier team. I have also played premier level as a keeper for several years, so my versatility, strength and flexibility to meet the needs of the team is a key asset that I can bring to the teams I play for. While sports is a huge part of my life, I also take both my academics very seriously as I know this will help me to prepare for the highest level of play and the most challenging of academic coursework. I have been awarded the President's Award for Academic Excellence, am an officer of National Junior Honor Society and was just inducted this spring into NHS. I really enjoy helping to coach youth sports camps at my school, and am a coach with the Tops Soccer Program for kids with disabilities. I am interested in pre-med programs with academic strength as I am currently at the top of my class, and want an opportunity to play high quality soccer at the best fit academically as well! I look forward to hearing more about your program and how I may help your team mission!
