Bridget McMaster '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a strong believer in planning to succeed and leading by example. I try to live by both those statements. I have played soccer since I was three and premier club soccer since I was eight. I enjoy both, they made me into a strong player and leader. By having multiple coaches (local club, school, premier club and ODP) I feel I learned from each of them.  Each program has made me into a stronger player and I carry over what I learn to each of my other teams.

I lead by example, both on and off the field, the harder I work in the classroom and on the soccer field the more successful I will be. My strong work ethic is shown in everything I do. I encourage others to put the time in also, for example this summer I ran my own daily training practices for my school team with girls age 12 and up. This made me into a better player and helped others gain skills and confidence.  My teammates view me as a leader and I’ve been a captain for my Empire United premier team for the past two years.   

I’ve been a Girl Scout for 12 years and have always encouraged other girls to be the best they can be. Last summer for my Girl Scout Gold Award project, I painted the elementary girls bathroom with motivational quotes and spoke to elementary girls about my project. 

In addition to soccer,  I’m a strong academic student, president of National Jr. Honor society, member of chorus, a Girl Scout cadette and volunteer for our local soccer club program. 

My collegiate goal is to attend a college that has both a competitive soccer program and a strong business program. I am a good candidate for your team because I’m coachable, versatile,  driven as a student-athlete and will give you 100%. I look forward to excelling as a student-athlete at the university level.
