Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Taylor Newhart. I am coming into my junior year playing as an outside defender on Varsity at Lake Catholic High School. When I am not playing for my high school team, I play premiere league soccer for a club called Cleveland Soccer Academy. Ever since I began playing at the age of four, I have always had a passion for the game. This love for the sport has driven me to pursue my dream of playing soccer at a college level. As a player, I bring a lot of energy, as well as a competitive edge to the game. I also have been noticed for my speed and overall athleticism, which I feel are factors that separate me from others on the field.
As a full time student athlete, I put school as my priority. I have been on the Honor Roll since freshman year, and I am currently taking all the honors courses that my school has to offer me, including AP United States History. Academics continue to be an extremely important part of my life. That being said, I hope to successfully finish my high school career in both academics and athletics. I also wish to commit to a great college for myself with a wonderful soccer program.
