Hi, I am Ally Rowan, I attend Cuyahoga Falls High School, Class of 2024. I have taken several honors classes since the sixth grade. During my sophomore and junior year, I was apart of a six district compact titled “Teaching Professions”. My senior year, I plan on taking 2/3 CCP classes each semester at Kent University.
I started soccer when I was 4, playing on local rec teams near me. Once I got older, I continued playing in leagues that were a couple years older than I was. For example, when I was 10, I was playing on a U12 team. During middle school, a group of adults decided to make a separate team for girls my age to play in a more competitive and challenging division than what our middle school was, at the time, competing in.
I played on that select team for three years and once I got to the high school level, I tried out for varsity. I was 1 out of 2 freshman to make the team, and earned a starting postion for the majority of our games. Playing as a center mid, I am known for having a good awareness on the field and connecting a lot of passes for a potential goal.
In the middle of my junior year, I was switched to right back, which means I had to adapt and learn quickly. I finished the season out at right back and was awarded ‘Defender of the Year’ with only a half a season of experience. I have learned to adapt quickly and be apart of every aspect on the field.
I am looking forward to finishing my high school soccer career, and to hopefully take my love and passion for the sport to the next level in college.
