Personal Statement

Why I want to continue playing soccer at an American university

I love soccer ever since I started playing it in elementary school. Soccer is not just a sport for me, but a part of my life. Soccer has taught me not only physical and technical skills, but also values and skills such as teamwork, communication, and leadership. Soccer has given me confidence, motivation, and fun. I have met and interacted with many friends, peers, teachers, and coaches through soccer. I have grown as a person through soccer.

I want to continue playing soccer after graduating from high school. I want to expand my possibilities through soccer. I want to pursue my dreams through soccer. I want to enjoy my life through soccer. I want to continue playing soccer at an American university.

The reasons why I want to continue playing soccer at an American university are as follows.

  • Improving my soccer level
  • Experiencing and learning from different cultures
  • Balancing academics and sports

Improving my soccer level

The biggest reason why I want to continue playing soccer at an American university is that I want to improve my soccer level. American college soccer is said to be one of the highest level soccer in the world. American college soccer has excellent players, coaches, facilities, and environments, and provides high-quality training and games in terms of technique, tactics, physical, and mental aspects. American college soccer also produces many players who advance to professional or national teams, and is advantageous for soccer careers. I believe that I can improve my soccer level by playing soccer at an American university.

Experiencing and learning from different cultures

Another reason why I want to continue playing soccer at an American university is that I want to experience and learn from different cultures. American universities are places where diverse cultures, values, and thoughts interact. American universities attract students and faculty from all over the world, and share knowledge and information from various fields and specialties. By playing soccer at an American university, I can meet, interact, and learn from people with different countries, regions, and backgrounds. By playing soccer at an American university, I can broaden my horizons and understanding.

Balancing academics and sports

Another reason why I want to continue playing soccer at an American university is that I want to balance academics and sports. American universities value the balance between academics and sports. American universities require high academic performance and grades from soccer players. American universities encourage soccer players to acquire various knowledge and culture. By playing soccer at an American university, I can improve my knowledge and abilities. By playing soccer at an American university, I can widen my future options.
