Personal Statement
One of the highlights of my playing career was playing in the Super Y North American Finals in Florida. The level of competition was some of the best I have played against and it was an environment I felt very comfortable in.
I have played for the Rage Soccer Club since 2010 and I currently play for the ’99 Athletica team. Playing with Rage has given me the opportunity to consistently play against high quality teams. It has also helped me prepare for life as a student-athlete in college. Our travel schedule has taught me how to effectively manage my time, maintain good nutrition and take care of my body.
Last year I was injured for the fall season and I spent that time supporting my team and watching and learning from the sidelines. This helped me to see the game from a different perspective and it also reinforced how important soccer is to me and how different my life would be without playing the game I love. Through the recovery process, I have stayed positive and have been working very hard to come back stronger than before. It has motivated me to keep my body in shape and become the best student-athlete I can be.
My education is and always has been very important to me and this will no doubt continue throughout my college career. During my recovery process, I have become very interested in pursuing a career in the Sports Medicine industry. It would be very satisfying to help student-athletes recover from their injuries and continue their athletic careers.
I look forward to continuing this process and learning more about what college has to offer.
