Personal Statement
I will pursue pre-medicine degree with hopes to attend medical school. I have many members of my family who currently practice medicine or dentistry. I'm blessed with a strong work ethic and a strong desire to succeed. I have good time management skills and I strive for improvement. My normal day starts with attending Seminary for one hour before school. I graduate having attended the past 4 years this year. I attend school each day 3.9 GPA, work a part time job and practice soccer currently with my club team and will soon start a physical fitness program in preperation for my Senior Soccer Team 5A District Fort Dorchester HS Soccer team. The past 2 years we competed on a high level in State competition. I led the District for most of the year in 2017 as a Goal Keeper. In 2016 I played 1/2 game with Junior Varsity and led the team in scoring and the other 1/2 as a back up keeper with some experience during games. I started playing softball at a very young age and developed a polished hand eye coordination skills that have transfered well as a keeper distrubuting the ball.
I attend the Buddy Walk each year and have a special place in my heart for children with down syndrome. I have a 5 year old sister with downs and she inspires me to be the best I can be. She attends most of my games and is a fixture on our bench after games. In conclusion what makes me different than most recruits: humility that keeps me teachable and a willingness to lead others by example.
