Personal Statement
I have played soccer since I was 4 years old. It is a big pashion for me. I was recently asked to play for the South Dakota United (SDU) soccer team as thair goalie but couldn't play because I moved up to the next age bracket. I have looked into the South Dakota United team again to play with my age groop. I have played goalie for the past five years. This year I am hoping to play on the feild as an offense player. I would like to play in college soccer. In the 2015 fall season of my sophomore year I had some knee pin from a previous injury in 2013. I went to the doctor. The doctor asked me to take a MRI and the results came back saying I had a torn ACL and meniscus and would need surgery. But since I had played on it for two years the doctor let me finish my season. My coach made the decision to have me play varsity but not start due to my injury taking away the amount of time I could play at a time. At the end of the season I scheduled my surgery for October of 2015 hoping I would have enough time to recover. I followed through with the surgery and while I was not able to play I helped coach a indoor u12 team. It was a great experience. And after I was released in July of 2016 I stared one in one practice with my fall coach Kyle, and he helped me get started with my transition of going back to playing agian. I had some issues getting back at first, but as the season started in August I was getting better. I was not fully back to what I used be before the surgery but I was working on it. By the time that my coach was choosing who played on jv and varcity I was chosen to play on both teams. I was given the privilege to start about half the games. As the fall season ended i was making a comeback but not at my full potential yet. I am continuing to recover and playing indoor at this time.
