I started playing soccer at the tender age of 5 and quickly fell in love with the game. Watching other kids play the thought came to me, “Hey, I can do this”. As soon as the ball touched my feet a passion sparked in me, I knew this was it for me.
Growing up I watched a lot of soccer, especially the U.S. Woman’s National team and most of my inspiration came from these players. Tobin Heath (my favorite player), Alex Morgan, Carli Lloyd, Crystal Dunn; these players inspired me to strive to become the best soccer player and to always continue to improve my craft. Someday I aspire to be on that level of play. The U.S. Woman’s squad also really inspired my style of play: the ability to have clean crisp touches and passing, being smart on the field always working “smarter not harder” like my mom always tells me.
Strengths I believe I possess are my ability to communicate on the field with my teammates, high school IQ and dribbling with great technique during game play.
While playing in both my high school varsity team and a competitive FDL select league my academics remain my up most importance. I’m in AP classes and always push myself to do better every day. My competitiveness and commitment to this sport are what drive me to continue doing what I love at a collegiate level where I can hopefully make a difference on a team.
