Personal Statement

My name is Mia Romero and I am entering into my junior year, come the fall of 2023 at Wylie High School, in Wylie, TX.

I play for one of the top soccer clubs here in the Dallas Motorplex, Solar. I am a 2007 playing up on the 2006 / 2005 ENCL- RL team under Charles Grado. Here in the DFW area RL is the second league under ECNL and it is extremely competitive. I currently play in the center as the 10, 8, and the 6. I bring a lot of dynamic play with my advanced technical ability as well as my ball handling skills. I grew up playing a lot of fustal, which made me quick in tight spaces and gave me the ability to play faster. My preferred style of play is possession base and combination play. I am also a huge Barcelona fan and love their style of play.

For High School, I am a Varsity starter at Wylie High School that is a 6A school. I play in the middle as the 10, 8, and 6 as well.

Since I was little, I have been working extremely hard to get to the college playing level. I have always had a ball at my feet, since I can remember and I have done multiple skill sessions a week since I was 9, under Reagan Angell (Prodigy Soccer Training).  I cannot imagine not playing in college at a high level.

Right now, I am undecided about my major but I am interested in Foreign Languages and Sports Medicine. I am an A Honor Roll Student and I am excited about joining a new team and continuing to find what I am meant to study in college.

I am looking forward to connecting with you and discussing a place for me at your school.

Thank you,

Mia

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
