Determination. Perseverance. Dedication. All vital attributes each student-athlete should become familiar with, but also three words that I am sure every single coach reading this right now has seen over and over again in thousands of other personal statements. While I am familiar with these characteristics, my personal statement is not to show you why I am the same as every other athlete, but why I am different.
I was introduced to soccer around the fourth grade after having played a variety of other sports beforehand and immediately developed a love and loyalty to soccer unlike any other. As the years passed, I got to experience every position on the field, from striker to goalkeeper, and learned of all the different responsibilities each position had to gameplay. I am thankful for this because it has benefitted me as a player overall, especially my playing strategy. Now, I play for the Rock Soccer Club and Parker High School Varsity teams in Janesville, Wisconsin, and have the same desire to play soccer past my high school years as I had when I went to my very first practice session.
My desires for college are never-ending and open-minded. While I am looking to enhance my education, I am also looking to strengthen my devotion and skills for soccer. With this being so, I am looking for a college that has a very successful soccer program and educational program in the scientific, mathematics, and business fields. Ultimately, I hope to find myself in a close-knit soccer family in which I can grow as a player and a person, and help contribute to during my collegiate years.
Thank you for reading and I hope to hear from you!
