When I was as a sophomore going into my Varsity season, I was challenged to play a position I would never expect to be at, center defense. I quickly learned the position and worked to get a starting spot. However getting second place at the Wisconsin State Championship that year helped me refocus, it made me learn what I had to do better to lead and further my team. During my junior year, Winning the Wisconsin State Championship, going undefeated, and getting the second-highest amount of goals on the team as a defender, 8 of them being header goals has my greatest accomplishment as a player. Since then I have grown into a hard-driven student-athlete.
Throughout my high school career, I have been blessed and challenged to be apart of such a strong program receiving first, second, and third in the Wisconsin State Championship. Throughout those years my team and I were challenged with a change of coaching staff 3 years in a row, developing me into a flexible player and changing my team's style of play quickly while still getting the results we needed. I learned how important teamwork, commitment, leadership, communication, and sacrifice is to become successful as a whole. Going into my senior year, I am looking for a college and soccer program that will challenge me yet will be a great fit. I am driven that I could play for a college team, but my work ethic, drive, personality, and my leadership skills will impact this women’s program.
