Personal Statement
Like many other swimmers who want to become a part of a college swim program I have loved swimming since I can remember. I’ve swam for the Y as well as two well-respected USA clubs, but Swimming for my high school was just a little more rewarding. Even though our team was not (YET)ranked among the top teams in Georgia, I am very excited to represent my school, contribute to putting us on the map as the first student to qualify for HS State, and to encourage contagious school spirit and sportsmanship. My goal now is to find a college that can help prepare me for my future while making lifelong friendships and proudly representing the school with a team of swimmers and coaches all striving to be the best we can be in everything we do. To that college I look forward to committing hard work in and out of the pool. I’ve been taught that to whom much is given much is required and I plan to stand on that belief in searching for the best mutual fit for me and potential colleges – one that offers the right combination of people, programs, and of course the POOL!
