Personal Statement
At 4 years old I had a choice to pick one of the 4 sports I played, and I choose soccer. Over the years I learned to be self-disciplined, humble, dedicated, and committed to any goal I wanted to achieve. I found a talent I never knew I had, and I work to move to a higher level every year constantly. There have been many challenges with soccer, but it pushed me to work harder as a new player and has brought me nothing but success. I am very proud of myself for how far I have come academically and athletically. I have learned that our responsibilities on the field are as important as the ones off the field. Soccer is more than just a sport, it encourages you to develop in everything outside of it. I did not know I could have such a strong mentality towards something, nor did I know I could come this far.
I currently play at a D1 Juco called Georgia Military College. Getting the college student-athlete experience has brought even more excitement and commitment to this sport.
My goal is to continue to play the sport I love and continue to be successful as a student-athlete, and make not break the chain of success. My experiences have helped build my personality, for I am creative, a big daredevil, fun, and a highly active person. I have learned and played every position on the field, and go above and beyond on what I know I can do. One thing that I know separates me from other recruits is my mindset during the game. I have the ability to make everything easier for myself by calming down, thinking, and doing something unexpected. When i'm calm and confident I can do anything , analyze every detail of the field, the players, the ball, positioning, and myself in a split second. Academically I have no choice but to be successful with my grades for soccer is my reward for having good academics. If I want to play soccer, I have to maintain high grades that. That is how I was raised, and I will continue those practices through my academic life.
You never know what life is going to throw at you, but Im hoping to find an amazing and successful soccer program to play for. No matter where I go, I will continue to push myself to be the best I can be on and off the field.
