My passion resides within the feeling the sport of swimming gives me. It pushes me both mentally and physically giving me an opportunity to see what I am truly capable of. Challenges both inside and outside of the sport will be met with my competitiveness and determination to succeed in every way I know possible. There hasn't been a single meet yet that I haven't put my full best effort into, and I don't see any possibility of that happening in the future. I have been competitively swimming since I was eight and before that sport had tried many others. But none ever made me feel so alive and focused then swimming. Just the feeling of my muscles working with the resistant push of the cool water made me feel excited. Swimming is and has been an outlet that I use to put aside all my thoughts and just focus on me and the water. I have been on several teams with several different coaches guiding me and my spirit has yet to change. It doesn't matter where I go, because I will always bring my A-game. My best skills in swimming have been sprinting, specifically in the butterfly and freestyle. But I can also swim other long-distance events and two hundreds and IM. I am a energetic, friendly person, who isn't afraid of talking to others and is quick to make friends. I have been known to always cheer my teammates on and give them strength band support inside and outside of swimming. If they don't have a positive attitude I always help to get them into one. I believe that you and your teammates are a family. We can all help and improve each other and I'm very excited to make new friends and strive with them! My goals are to always keep improving, and to push myself the best I can and farther than I have before! Outside of swimming I am very active and an extrovert early-bird! I love to bike to scenic outdoor places or even just to a park, jog with friends, write poetry, draw and make art, swim in lakes, climb lots of things no matter how tall, be adventurous and eat new exciting foods! I love to spend time with my family, act, sing, and play my instrument the euphonium. I study for every test I need to and take school very seriously. My grades have been mostly all A's throughout every semester of high school so far, and I always try to take honors and AP classes to challenge myself. Even if I have a sustained A I will always take extra credit opportunities to improve. I have been busy ever since I was young so I am very skilled and experienced with balancing school work, swimming, and everyday activities. As for what field of study interests me I would have to say the category of wildlife biology and ecology. Ever since I was a child the wild terrains of earth had interested me. I love to observe the way animals react with their environment and how they grow and live their lives. I can't see myself working in an office cubicle and would prefer something more involved with the world around me. Whether it be pond, lake, forest, or mountains I am up for the challenge and privilege to learn, observe, and help. I have swam club year round since I was eight and now swim varsity swimming and varsity water polo in high school. I have made it to state and regionals several times in lots of events. I am the fastest on my high-school team but have always pushed myself further. I would prefer a smaller school and team but can adapt and function and thrive in any environment.
