Personal Statement

I have been swimming competitively since I was eight years old. It has been a sport that has stuck with me for so long, allowing me to grow not only in skill, but also as a person. My passion and commitment to swimming extends far beyond words; therefore, I would like to continue my athletic journey by competing at the collegiate level.

Although my dedication to swimming is of the utmost importance to me, my academics have always been my number one priority. As an highest honor roll student, I have continuously devoted my commitment to education and managed to maintain a 5.5 (out of 5) GPA while balancing the demands of swimming. I strongly believe that I will remain flexible and responsible while at college, allowing myself to continue to thrive both academically and athletically.

As a swimmer, I have learned the significance of being a team player. There is nothing better than being able to support and cheer as teammates in order to push one another to our full potential. Through swimming, I have formed incredible friendships with several people and nothing brings me more joy than being recognized as a captain. A team can be defined as a group of people who work to accomplish goals and solve problems together. It has been something I have always believed in and something that I will forever participate in.

I am ready to join a college swim team where I can move forward with my desire to meet the challenges necessary in order to succeed. I am coachable, responsible, a good listener, and ready to take the next step in my swimming experience.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
