Hi, I am Zoe Weneck. I go to blue valley northwest high school. I love learning new things and meeting new people. I love reading, painting, writing, and working with kids. I am a social person and am not afraid to express my needs, wants, or my excited for whats to come. During school I love a good push sometimes. Since I love reading I am taking honors ela. I speak three languages. They are english, spanish, and hebrew. I love swimming but I do many things outside of that. I play an instrument, participate in the drama department, work with kids on a daily basis and there are many more things I would like to participate in. Over the summers I like to do swim lesson with kids around the neighborhood. I also teach at my synagoge year round to be more of a part of my jewish religion and to work with the amazing kids that go to class. I have also worked with the special needs kids at my school. I loved it so much and because of that experience and the loving environment I am growing up in I have loved the thought of getting a child development degree. Another thing I love to do is write. I have been in two national competitions for writing. One of them was for a essay about world war 2 and the way the jewish people were treated and the way people experienced things first hand. The other was a poem competition which I became a finalist in. My grades have never been lower than a B. I always have A's and during middle school I got a B in spanish almost every year. Now that covers my academics and interests. Swimming on the other hand is another enormous part of my life. I have swam since before I was one. I have been on the Kansas City Blazers for 6 years and I have loved every year of it. Along the way through hard work I have made some of my best friends and relationships I could ever imagine. I recently got moved up to the senior division on my team. I got moved up a year early because my coach thought it was time for me to go to harder practices. I quickly started working harder and making new relationships. I worked hard and got results quickly. I am very determined to keep working harder and keep having more fun. I love the feeling of being in the water and moving my body in a good way. Swimming helps me feel good in my body and be a confident person. I love putting in the work and seeing how far I can push myself. The way I feel knowing I have people to back me up on the team and have them be there for me and me be there for them is a feeling like no other. I love hearing my friends yell at me to push as I flip turn into the next lap of my race. It puts a smile on my face thinking about it. I have dedication, motivation, and excitement to see where life takes me in swimming and in academics. I have wanted to swim for college since I was 8 I cannot believe it is becoming a reality. I love swimming and the opportunities it gives me in life and I am so excited for it to continue to a new level.
