Kristin Chance '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kristin Taylor Chance. I’m currently in the top 10% of the class of 2020 at Vernon Malone College & Career Academy in Raleigh, North Carolina. I’ve been swimming since I was 3 and I joined a competitive team at age 7. Swimming has taught me the importance of being a team player although it’s an individual sport, managing my time and being mentally/physically tough. I’ve learned that working hard in swimming translates to academics. The harder I work at practice, the better my times are. The more I study and apply myself in class, the better my grades are. I want to major in Biology or Health Science. My dream job is to become a pediatrician because I enjoy taking care of children. I want to open up a practice for low income families. I feel as though all children should have access to good healthcare. Eventually I’d like to go to other countries and help those children in need.
