When I was two years old, my parents bought a boat-house on Lake Erie. Due to the fact that the back door led to a boat well and basically an open lake, they wanted to make sure I could swim. So, they immediately put me in swim lessons. I fell in love with swimming and I haven't stopped since. Competing on summer league teams since age 4 and swimming club at Dayton Raiders since age 6, I can't imagine my life without the sport. Often times friends ask me if I have ever wanted to quit or take a break, and my honest answer is no. I love to practice and race with my club and high school team now, and I'm excited to do the same for my future college team.
I'm looking for a college that is not only a good fit athletically, but also has strong academics. I've always loved swimming and school because they both challenge me in different ways. Being on the Dayton Raiders since I was six and attending Oakwood, a school known for having tough curriculum, I have learned how to balance my schoolwork with swimming. I love anything that makes me work hard, because it keeps me interested.
