I've been swimming competitively since I was 7, but I've been in the water my whole life. I've always enjoyed competing, even though the last couple years have been hard because my freshman year I was recovering from a knee injury and my sophomore year I would keep getting sick, which made my grades and swimming suffer. But my junior year I worked hard on keeping myself healthy, including going to a nutritionist. I have very high expectations for myself in the future and after every swim I always think about how I can do better. During practices I try to focus on my technique and how I can make it better. I was apart of the medley relay that broke our high school record that was in place for 9 years, with a split of 31.25. When I was 10 I went to a swim camp with Bob Bowman and met Michael Phelps. Everything I do, in and out of the pool, is to help my performances.
