Karsyn Whitehead '17 Recruiting Profile

I have desired a collegiate running career since I began high school track and cross country. My passion for running and competing has grown over the years and drives me in every task I complete. I happen to run for an extremely talented team and group of coaches, and each of us give our best for the benefit of the team, whether it be on the course or in the classroom. I started out playing basketball because my mother played for her high school. I thought that was what I loved, until I discovered cross country in eighth grade. I planned on running track ever since third grade when I watched my first high school meet, but running track required my giving up of golf. Therefore, I went from basketball and golf to strictly mid distance and distance running, and I have yet to regret my decision.
