Some of the reasons I am a good candidate is because of my hard work, dedication, and willingness to do what is needed to improve. I understand the concept of sacrificing things like sleep and social life for more important things that will make me successful in life. I have been recognized for my respect on and off the track, leadership and encouragement to others. My coaches saw these qualities in me and made me captain of the varsity sprinters. This role showed me responsibility and how to be a team player in an individual sport. I have received many awards for being a scholar athlete by maintaining a 3.5+ GPA while on a varsity team which shows that I can prioritize my time between athletics, academics and extra-curricular activities. My collegiate goals include continuing my academic success while managing the responsibility of being dedicate to put in the work to improve athletically.
