Personal Statement

I have worked and trained to get better at various events in the sport that I love. Everyday I work at something that I am truly passionate about. Track and field has given me so much and I owe it indefinitely for everything that it has taught me.

I have worked very hard throughout my career and that hard work and passion for the sport is shown in each event in which I participate. Personally, the relationships and leadership on and off the track have allowed me to flourish in ways I could have only dreamed of.

My first year competing, I participated in the CIF San Diego Section Finals in the long jump and 4x100 meter. This year, I competed in 4 events at every meet/invitational. Each week, I PR'd in at least one event and returned to CIF San Diego Section Finals to compete in the long jump, triple jump, 100m sprint, and 4x100 meter and competed at the California State Track and Field Meet for long jump. I also earned the title of Palomar League Champion in the long jump, I received 2nd Team Honors for triple jump, and I received my school's Most Valuable Athlete Award.

However, I bring much more than just a sprinter and jumper. I was born a leader and my passion for this sport allows me to encourage my teammates and help them become better athletes while improving the team dynamic simultaneously.  The ability to lead by example and pick your teammates up is how I love to participate both in school and on the track.

Track has been a clear focus of mine for years, but I am an AP Scholar with Honor student with an outstanding 4.35 GPA, I am very well-rounded and mature, and finally, when I am on the track, nothing can distract me from accomplishing the goal at hand and getting the win.

My clear-cut mindset and passion for track and field has allowed me to excel both in school and in my events. The combination of my exceptional focus on academics as well as my leadership and hard work have developed me into the very skilled participant that I am today.

Overall, I bring countless other characteristics that represent my social life, leadership and overall compassion for track and field. I would love the opportunity to come play for your team and greatly appreciate your consideration of my abilities and what I could potentially bring to any team. Thank you so much!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
