Competing in sports has always been a must have for me, from Track and Field, to waterpolo, volleyball, and club soccer, I've enjoyed athletics. The first time I picked up a Javelin at a ripe age of 11 I threw it 60 feet, added the event to my track competition that day, and ended up placing 1st. From then on, my love for the sport has been non-stop. The track community is like no other and I constantly find myself grateful to be apart of it. Throughout the years I have had the opportunity to qualify in 4 Junior Olympic National track meets as well as those leading up to it, and recently placing 10th in this years, yet still having a PR that sets me at 4th in the nation. Growing up I knew I always wanted to go to college but "what for" was still a question to me. Not long ago the idea of interviewing and broadcasting other high level athletes excited me, and I decided I wanted to major in sports broadcasting. The goal in the end is to be able to communicate with professional athletes such as the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB to provide them a chance to speak their experiences. I plan to compete at the collegiate level, becoming stronger as an athlete, grow academically, and dedicate myself to the sport. I am excited to apply myself to every opportunity given, and reach my personal full potential as a scholar athlete.
