Personal Statement
I have been running competitive Cross Country and Track and Field for the last 3 years. Each year I have pushed myself to become a better athlete and team player. There have been times where I have had to push myself very hard in order to help my team place, I have helped in earning a championship title with my relay team, however I have also succeeded individually, I have been recognized as both an All-State and All- FCIAC runner in cross country. I have been able to use running to discover who I really am. Throughout my years in high school, I have been faced with inconsistencies in my coaching staff, but I have found ways to persevere and still perform better from year to year. This year alone, I have broken 7 school records. Each Season I find myself running at a higher level and I am ready for the next step. I am not someone who gives up and I have definitely developed a love for this sport. Running has become my passion and I can't wait to see where it takes me next.
