My name is Kaitlyn, I have been running track since 6th grade and I am currently a Junior in high school, it's a funny story of how I started track actually. In 6th grade the only thing I wanted to do was play basketball, my dad made me run cross country to condition for basketball so I was ready. Twords the end of basketball season the middle school track coach came up to me and asked if I wanted to run track. I didn't know what it was or what they did but I thought I would try it. My first race I was nervous, as soon as my spikes hit the track I knew that this what I wanted to do. This is what I loved doing. I was really determined to be number one. I wanted to get better and train hard, and I am still training hard. I am working on my 2nd year winning region, being top 5 in sectionals, and top 5 in state. This is what I was supposed to do and I want to be the best I can be. I am also an all A student that takes honors classes. I work hard in school and make sure my grades are as good as I can get them.
