Jalynn Smith '25 Recruiting Profile

Hey! My name is Jalynn Smith. I have been competing in track and field since I was five years old. Running on the collegiate level has always been a dream of mine. Seeing elite athletes compete in a sport that they love and succeed in it, was like a dream that as a young child made me extremely happy. Almost every coach has told me that I am incredibly coachable and a very determined and strong minded individual. These two traits are ones that I especially plan to take with me when competing in the next level. I hope to excel not only on the track but also in the classroom in college. I plan to take AP courses my last two years of high school and continue to push myself in school as I know it will better my chances of getting into a more academically challenging college. I not only want to be challenged academically but also athletically. I thoroughly enjoy being put in situations that make me think and push myself to new limits. Despite my drive, I also want to bring a positive energy to the college program that I join.
