I've been running track ever since I could remember. I used to run track with my town when I was in kindergarten in 2012 all of the way through COVID. I twisted my ankle in 2020 and then started running for my school. I did cross country in 8th grade and last year was the first time I did high school track. I am more of a sprinter but my coach made me run the 800 meter. It was hard but I was able to do well. This winter was the first time that I did indoor track.
Some of my collegiate goals and aspirations are earning a degree, being able to do a sport competitively and overall have a great college experience. I am a good candidate because I am determined, a hard worker and am a good teammate. My drive and passion for the sport makes me different from the other recruits. I am able to balance my academics and athletics well and always excel in both.
